Ole Rauberg has been based in Hong Kong since 1994. Over three decades, he has represented and introduced European premium brands across furniture, lighting, audio, and lifestyle into the Asia-Pacific's most demanding retail, project, and hospitality markets.

A European brand's strongest asset at home — heritage, craft, provenance — is not automatically an asset in Asia-Pacific. It has to be translated, not transplanted. Asia-Pacific is not one market: what signals premium in Hong Kong can read as ordinary in Tokyo, or as overpriced in Jakarta, and the European story that justifies your price point in Copenhagen or Milan may need an entirely different argument to land in Singapore. Most entry mistakes happen before launch, when a brand assumes the positioning that built its home market will travel intact. I help founders and brand directors test that assumption early — identifying where real demand for European or Asian design and craftsmanship exists, how local definitions of premium are shifting, and what it will genuinely take to win regionally, not just gain a foothold.

I draw on three decades of relationships with retailers, developers, FF&E consultants, hospitality groups, boutiques property developers, and project channels built on the ground across the region.
